Buffalo Wild Wings is keeping summer exciting by launching happy hour and a brand new menu item – bird dawgs.

The new offering is the ultimate mix of hot dogs and tender chicken. Buffalo Wild Wings’ latest creation is hand-breaded chicken tenderloin placed on a brioche bun and drizzled with sauces and toppings.

Customers can either choose their own toppings and create a custom bird, or order three special combos.

To start, the loaded bird dawg is topped with beer cheese and wild honey mustard. If you prefer something spicier, the Honey BBQ Bird Dawg is made with fries and Buffalo Wild Wings Honey BBQ Sauce. Finally, the buffalo bird dawg offers something spicier; it consists of ranch, napa slaw, and Buffalo Wild Wings medium buffalo sauce.

On Wednesday, Chicken Tenders and Hot Dog Medley make their big debut at Buffalo Wild Wings’ new happy hour, which runs weekdays from 3-6 p.m.

Some standout happy hour menu offerings include Goose Island’s Wild Herd Kolsh drafts for $3, strawberry margaritas for $5, Truly Berry cherry lemonade for $6, fries and salsa for $3 and, of course, $5 bird dawgs.

Bird Dawgs aren’t the sports bar chain’s only invention this year. In April, they announced the Doritos Flamin’ Hot Nacho Wings.

Inspired by the popular snack flavor, Doritos Flamin’ Hot Nacho Wings offer customers chicken wings, a sauce based on Doritos nacho cheese flavor and a crispy coating of Doritos Flamin’ Hot Nacho tortilla chips.

It’s not hard to see why Scandinavians celebrate light. I’ve been to northern Norway and Sweden in the middle of winter and it’s hard to say how dark it is. The darkness is thick; you feel like you could fall into it.

At first, you have to fight the feeling that you should go back to bed. You feel the day is over. Motivation is difficult unless you are used to it. Scandinavians handle darkness well. They are pragmatic. More candles are sold in Scandinavia than anywhere else. Candlelight pools dot window sills, cafes, and kitchen tables.

Summer days, especially the longest ones, are when Scandinavians seem to drink in enough light to get through the rest of the year. Around midsummer there is almost a dizziness in the air, a drunkenness, a feeling that the light will never end. I spent a summer on a small Swedish island. It was one of those “pinch me” experiences.

I met a chef who used to go there every summer and invited me. His brother picked us up in his shiny wooden boat – it was like the water taxis you see in Venice – and half an hour later we were swimming in the Baltic, a brackish sea that seems beautifully clear, thicker than the Atlantic or the Mediterranean. We were the only ones there; it was a small island with a wooden house, so no one erected a mast.

The traditional Swedish flagpole is 20 feet tall with two hoops at the top. It is the focal point of the Saint-Jean celebrations because everyone dances around it, even the most reluctant. Flowers, greenery and berries are in the center. The girls spend the afternoon making flower crowns for their hair, the children string daisies and make necklaces of tiny strawberries.

On our island, the focus was on food. We set up a table on the pier and picked up juniper – it was everywhere on the island – on which to cook the fish. At 10pm we sat down for pickled herring, radishes, cucumber and dark rye bread. Next came the salmon, tiny potatoes mixed with dill and butter, sour cream and boiled beets that were hastily peeled on the table.

None of this was grand. The salmon was cooked on an old barbecue, the warm beets were brought to the table in a pan. It was one of the most memorable meals I have ever had and the light was intoxicating. It looked like the sun was going to set, but it never really happened. In the middle of the night, I walked around looking at pictures on the walls of the house, had a cup of coffee on the pier and felt elated.

If you think it’s worth marking special days with food – I think so – midsummer is a good excuse, even if it’s not traditional here. We also have dark days ahead of us, although they are not as long. The summer solstice is not celebrated on the same day, even across Scandinavia, so choose any day around June 24.

What you cook is up to you, as long as it’s summery, but this menu is special. Langoustines are expensive but you only need three per person. Smaller prawns – already cooked – with mayonnaise are a good alternative, and you can buy jars of herring in different sauces – the Swedes buy them – and add the foods mentioned above.

If you don’t like herring, you can cook salmon – the buttermilk vinaigrette on the back can be served with it – but herring is cheap and a change. Add the cooked beetroot, cut into cubes, drizzled with vinaigrette and red onion. Berries are non-negotiable. Put flowers in jam jars, string garlands and light all the candles you can get your hands on. Happy Midsommar.

Langoustines with mayonnaise

Crayfish, widely eaten in Sweden, aren’t easy to get here, but we have fantastic langoustines (also known as Dublin Bay prawns). There are about 25 langoustines in 1.5 kg, which is generous (and filling) for six people.

In restaurants you normally have three per person, so you can buy less. They’re not cheap, but it’s a special occasion and you can make a huge pot of rich shellfish broth with the shells thrown in. I bought mine from Keltic Seafare, based in Scotland.

Bring napkins, tea towels to use as bibs, and plenty of paper towels. It’s a messy business.

  • Russian McDonald’s restaurants reopened on Sunday under the new brand name Vkusno & tochka.
  • Vkusno & tochka’s menu does not include Big Macs and McFlurry, but does have a lot of pork chops.
  • This is what you can eat at Vkusno & tochka.

McDonald’s Russian restaurants have reopened with a new name, logo and menu.

Vkusno & tochka, which translates to “tasty and that’s it,” opened 15 stores in and around Moscow on Sunday, including what was once McDonald’s flagship Russian restaurant in the city’s Pushkin Square.

Alexander Govor, a Russian businessman, bought Russian McDonald’s restaurants after the hamburger giant left the country following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Govor said he plans to reopen all of McDonald’s approximately 850 Russian restaurants by the end of the summer.

“We’re not allowed to use certain colors, we’re not allowed to use the golden arches, we’re not allowed to use any mention of McDonald’s,” Govor told Reuters .

There’s no Big Mac or McFlurry on the menu at Vkusno & tochka, although Govor said, “The Big Mac is McDonald’s history. We’ll definitely do something similar.”

Some old McDonald’s items weren’t immediately available due to logistical difficulties, and trade restrictions mean dishes are likely to change, Vkusno & tochka CEO Oleg Paroev said, according to The Wall Street Journal. On the one hand, Coca-Cola’s decision to suspend sales in Russia has left Vkusno & tochka searching for new soft drink suppliers, Reuters reported.

However, the burgers on sale at Vkusno & tochka contain the same ingredients and are made with the same equipment as under the McDonald’s brand, Vkusno & tochka’s quality manager Alexander Merkulov said, according to Reuters.

Here’s what’s on the menu at Vkusno & tochka.

Welsh restaurant Ynyshir has been named Best in the UK at the prestigious The Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards 2022, becoming the first to be crowned winner in this category outside of England for the first time in 16 years.

The epic victory for Ynyshir, which is located near Machynlleth in Powys, adds another gong to the venue’s two Michelin stars, five AA rosettes and the highest ranking in Wales in Harden’s Guide.

LilyAfter: You can find more of our food and drink stories here

Ynyshir boss boss, Gareth Ward

Judges described Restaurant of the Year as “combining a punchy soundtrack with a succession of tiny plates of hard-hitting, fire-cooked Japanese-influenced cuisine” and praised the restaurant, run and owned by Gareth Ward, who was born in County Durham, to provide “a dining experience like no other”.

Its website warns people, “The theater of cooking takes center stage. Expect fire, intense flavors of the world, and the best meat and fish from around the world.”

And as it’s dubbed “undoubtedly one of the most unique and exciting places to eat in the UK right now, perhaps in the world”, you might be wondering what’s there. so special in this food?

Here we take a look at what’s in the sample menu and how much a lunch or dinner here will cost you.

What’s on offer?

The incredible restaurant is set in the most stunning setting and offers an impressive 30-course tasting menu.

Although these plates are bite-sized, the depth of flavor is astronomical and is a true definition of expression: small but mighty.

If you want to take a trip to this “destination restaurant”, you should know that due to the unique dining experience on offer, they unfortunately do not cater to any dietary requirements or offer substitutions for any of the dishes, according to their site. Internet.

Be sure to set aside time for your lunch or dinner, as the tasting menu will take around five hours to enjoy – but enjoy. According to their website, if you are coming for lunch, you should arrive at 12:30. For dinner, it is 5:15 p.m.

The ‘immersive dining experience’ includes 30 dishes which are detailed in their sample menu (below) which has been split into a series of fish, shellfish, duck, chicken, pork and lamb dishes Welsh before arriving at Ynyshir’s famous wagyu beef and a selection of sweet plates.

For our 2017 review of Ynyshir, click here.

While the menu itself leaves a lot to the imagination – the descriptions of the dishes are just a few words hinting at the flavors involved – it gives visitors an exciting glimpse of what to expect. But what they box expect is a celebration of the chef’s philosophy: “Ingredient Focused, High in Fat, Obsessed with Protein”.

Where is he?

The award-winning restaurant and hotel is located on the Dyfi Estuary in a house that was once Queen Victoria’s hidden retreat. It dates from the 1750s and was led by Neighborhood Gareth and his partner Amelia Eiríksson since 2013. Expect the rolling hills of Snowdonia as a backdrop and stunning green gardens surrounding the country house.

Inside the four walls of the building, in addition to full flavors delivered by the chef, the restaurant features a live DJ to amp up the unique atmosphere.

How much does it cost?

With 30 courses of luxury ingredients, cooked to award-winning standards – and served in the most breathtaking setting – it’s understandable that a meal in Ynyshir doesn’t come cheap.

Be Precious has been booming since opening its doors a few months ago. Timperley’s cafe offers a range of food, inspired by street food and Japanese desserts to develop a unique menu using strictly natural ingredients.

It recently announced the addition of a brand new dish to its main menu, the Japanese fried noodles. This comes with egg noodles sautéed with a selection of chicken, beef, and pork, plus mixed vegetables, and topped with Japanese mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, white sesame, and Katsuo Bushi bonito flakes.

To celebrate the launch of this new dish, the cafe has extended its opening hours until 9 p.m. for people wishing to grab a take-out dinner or sit down and enjoy. It is also to offer Manchester’s Best Readers 25% off its entire menu 6pm-9pm Thursday-Saturday quoting ‘MCRSFINEST’.

It also serves Japanese rice boxes topped with various meats and vegetables, as well as Gyozaswhich are to die for, and come with shrimp, beef, chicken or vegetables.

The restaurant is inspired by the five elements – metal, water, wood, fire and earth and bases its menu and its whole concept around these, the logo also being inspired by the hexagram (out of 64) from I-Ching, Book of Change. In this auspicious hexagram of connection, heaven and earth enjoy communion – their energy connecting, much like the mood in Be Precious.

Besides its tasty dishes, the restaurant also specializes in a superb selection of bubble teas, bubble waffles and authentic Japanese dishes, all prepared without artificial flavors or colors. He also introduced the popular Japanese dessert “Cream Puffs” to his menu. The original secret recipe is learned from a Japanese chef and the dish is completely homemade.

To benefit from the 25% discount, customers must quote “MCRSFINEST” in store from June 13 to 27 on its entire menu. This is available Thursday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
