The Sutton Bonington pub launches its first afternoon tea menu

The King’s Head is a gastro pub located in the picturesque village of Sutton Bonington and they have recently launched their very first afternoon tea menu.

Prices start at just £9.95 per person for a classic afternoon tea, with unlimited tea or coffee, served in delicious bone china teacups.

This can be upgraded to a High tea with Prosecco for £14.95 pp.

A family pub, it obtained a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor in 2018. Licensees Nigel and Caroline Scrivin have been at the helm for 13 years. Afternoon tea will include a wide range of classic sandwiches such as salmon and cucumber, cheese and onion and egg mayonnaise. The King’s Head also offers gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

In addition to the delicious scones, clotted cream and jams offered, a selection of appetizing cakes will delight gourmets!

Reservations should be made in advance, as the sandwiches are made fresh daily, allowing customers to choose the sandwich fillings.

Caroline Scrivin, licensed at Kings Head, told us: “We are incredibly delighted to launch our afternoon tea menu. We have built an excellent reputation in Sutton Bonington for good quality food and by introducing afternoon tea we are able to offer our customers another great reason to visit the pub. It will be a unique and unforgettable experience for the local community and a perfect treat to share with loved ones, friends and family. You will definitely get the royal treatment here!”

Steve Brighty, Business Development Manager at Admiral Taverns, added: “This is a fantastic initiative from the team at Kings Head. Caroline and her husband Nigel always go above and beyond for their customers to provide special experiences that everyone will enjoy, and it’s great to see that the afternoon tea menu also caters to the needs of vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free. The pub has a wonderful community vibe and this menu will be a delight for locals and tourists alike.
